Joel’s Spinal Fitness Story: Improved Posture, Strength and Comfort

Joel Castillo is a member at Spinal Fitness Health and Wellness Center in Kennewick. This is his story, in his own words.

Serving God is one of the most beautiful things we can do, and there are many ways to serve — one of them is serving at your local church. But it can be really challenging to serve when your body is in pain. Standing too long hurts your lower back, your ankles, your knees. It can make serving genuinely hard.

My prayers were answered

For a couple of years, I prayed to God to help me, because I had pain all over my body. All of my joints felt stiff and painful. I couldn’t stand for more than an hour before my lower back started hurting. Almost every joint gave me trouble, but it was mainly my lower back.

That is, until the Lord answered my prayer. One of my sisters in Christ — someone I consider like a mother to me (you know who you are, Ann) — told me about Creatrix Solutions, and I learned that Eileen Durfee is an inventor, a CEO, and a spinal fitness expert. On my very first day with her, I felt a difference. It felt like my body had shifted into the posture it was meant to have.

“You have to experience it to believe it.”

And instantly, my back felt so much lighter. My neck felt better. The more I went, the better I felt. She had me do a couple of exercises that started to correct my posture and work muscles I didn’t know I had, building toward the S-shaped spine. I even feel more energized throughout the day. At the gym, I can lift heavier now with far less discomfort.

Lifting weights used to hurt my back, and now that’s starting to become a thing of the past. If you’re dealing with body pain at any age, I highly recommend Spinal Fitness Health and Wellness Center. I can testify that my body feels amazing when I’m serving in church — I can stand for long periods without pain in my lower back or anywhere else.

It almost feels like I have a completely different body. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Eileen — it changed my life, and I believe it could change yours. In the mighty name of Jesus.

Why a healthy S-shaped spine matters

Seen from the side, a healthy spine follows a gentle S-curve. That shape acts like a spring: it helps distribute the body’s weight, absorb the shocks of everyday movement, and hold the head balanced over the pelvis. When the natural curves are supported, standing tall takes less muscular effort — which many people simply find more comfortable through the day. Posture work supports comfortable movement; it is not a cure or a guarantee against pain or degeneration, and it does not replace care from your healthcare provider.

Joel’s experience is personal to him. Individual experiences and results vary.
