How to Visit Spinal Fitness in Kennewick
If you have driven past 214 E. Albany Ave in Kennewick and wondered whether you could pull in, sign something at a counter and start using the place that afternoon, the honest answer is no — and it is on purpose. Spinal Fitness Health and Wellness Center puts it in its own words: “We are not a walk-in gym.” Visits here are by appointment, and the first conversation happens by phone or text before you ever come through the door.
That trips up people who are used to the big-box model down the road, so it is worth setting out plainly. The sequence is: you call or text 509-670-9713 to arrange your visit, you complete your training, and then you receive a door code. Monthly members receive 24/7 facility access. So yes, it is a 24/7 gym in Kennewick — but the round-the-clock part sits at the end of the process, not at the front of it. People come here from Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland, Benton City and Walla Walla, which is another reason the appointment step matters: nobody should burn a drive in from Benton City on a locked door.
Why there is no walk-in counter
The line the center uses about itself is “More Than a Conventional Gym in Kennewick,” and the access model is the clearest place you can see what that means in practice. A conventional gym is a room of equipment you already know how to use, so it can hand out a card at a desk and leave you to it. What is on the floor here is a different inventory: the site publishes 10+ therapies, and the list includes hyperbaric oxygen sessions in a 1.3 ATA mild chamber, PEMF with loop and mat equipment, a 7 Wave full body light panel running seven bands of red and near-infrared light, Brown’s gas inhalation generated on site, whole-body vibration, HeartMath sessions, biofeedback, an AM3 bio-photon mat, and a hot exercise room with near-infrared as part of the 24/7 fitness side.
Set that beside the center’s own stated numbers — 300 clients, 2k+ sessions completed, 15+ years of experience — and the appointment rule reads less like a hurdle and more like an orientation. Training with a person comes first. The code comes afterward.
That is also why the training is a real thing rather than a signature. Once it is complete, most of what is in this building is self-directed — you let yourself in, and you run the session. The training is not an introduction to the place; it is the part where you learn to operate it. There is one exception, and it is further down this page.
Step one: call or text, including evenings and weekends
Booking is a phone call or a text message to 509-670-9713 — a person, in a conversation. The center states it directly: call or text to arrange your visit, including evenings and weekends — which is a practical detail if you work a swing shift and your only free window to make arrangements is a Saturday morning or a Tuesday at nine at night.
Text works, and for a lot of people it is the easier opening. Say what you are curious about, say roughly when you are free, and let the scheduling happen in writing. If you are weighing two or three of the services against each other — say a hyperbaric session, which runs a private 60 to 90 minutes, against something shorter — that is a good thing to put in the first message rather than sorting out in the parking lot.
Step two: complete your training, then the door code
This is the step people most often shorten in their heads, so read the wording exactly as it stands: once you complete your training, you receive a door code. Complete. Your code arrives when your training is finished — a later moment than your first appointment, and a later moment than the day you first pick up the phone.
Training at Spinal Fitness runs through Eileen Durfee, the founder — a Certified Personal Trainer who has been in the field since 2010 and who invented Spinal Fitness itself, a system built around restoring proper posture and supporting overall well-being. Personal training and spinal-focused evaluation are services in their own right here, not a formality bolted onto a membership sale.
What “complete” looks like for you specifically is a question for the call, and it is a fair one to ask up front. Ask it when you text. You will get a straight answer from someone who knows the building, which is more than a website can honestly give you.
Step three: what 24/7 access actually gets you
Monthly members receive 24/7 facility access, and BioCharger NG sessions are included with monthly memberships. For a Tri-Cities schedule that is the whole point of the model: a 5 a.m. session before an early shift, or an eleven o’clock stop on the way home, without needing anyone to be standing at a front desk to let you in.
The door code is yours, issued to you once your training is complete — which is exactly why the training has to be finished before the code exists. If you want to know how a particular service fits into that after-hours window versus a scheduled appointment slot, ask when you book. Do not assume from this page.
The one exception: frequency sessions
One thing on the list does not work this way, and it is better to know now than to find out at eleven at night with a door code in your hand. Biofeedback and Rife frequency sessions are supervised, and they are sold by the session. Somebody stays with you for those, so they are not something you let yourself in and run, and they are not folded into a monthly membership. You book the time and you pay for the session. Everything else on the list becomes yours to run once your training is behind you.
Finding the door: 214 E. Albany Ave, Building E101
The address is 214 E. Albany Ave, Building E101, Kennewick, WA 99336. Put that full string into your maps app, building letter included, rather than just the street number. Coming over from Richland or West Richland, that is a short hop; from Walla Walla it is enough of a drive that you will want the appointment confirmed before you leave the house.
Locally owned, here in Kennewick. When you text 509-670-9713, you are texting the place itself.
Before you make the call
Two things worth holding onto. First, this is a wellness center and everything on the list is a wellness service — anything medical belongs with your own licensed provider, so bring that provider into the conversation if you have one. Second, the site describes its approach as combining advanced therapies with holistic strategies, and prayer in the name of Jesus, toward a balanced life. That is stated openly rather than discovered later, which is how it should be.
If you want the longer background reading on the individual modalities themselves, Eileen writes about them at EileenDurfee.com. What this page is for is narrower and more local: how you get through the door on East Albany Avenue. Appointment first. Training completed. Then the code, and then the building is open to you around the clock as a monthly member.
